Request Access
Plomo uses whitelisted access — you need an approved account before you can sign in.Email [email protected] with your name, firm, and a brief description of how you plan to use Plomo. The team will whitelist your email address and send you an invitation.
If your organisation already has a Plomo workspace, ask your workspace admin to invite you directly from the Team settings — you won’t need to contact Plomo support.

Sign In
Once your account is approved, open app.plomo.ai in your browser.Plomo uses managed authentication — enter your email address and follow the link or code sent to your inbox. There is no password to create or remember.After signing in, you’ll land on the deals dashboard, which lists all the deals your workspace has access to.

Create Your First Deal
Click New Deal from the dashboard to open the deal setup screen.Fill in the following fields:
Click Create Deal. Plomo opens the deal workspace immediately and builds the taxonomy in the background — you don’t have to wait before uploading documents.

Upload Documents
Navigate to the Sources tab inside your deal and drag your files directly onto the upload area, or click Upload to browse.Plomo supports the following file formats:
- PDF — the most common format for data room documents
- DOCX / DOC — Word documents
- XLSX / XLS — Excel spreadsheets
- PPTX — PowerPoint presentations
- CSV — comma-separated data files
- TXT — plain-text files
Documents begin processing the moment they land — Plomo parses, indexes, and classifies each file in real time. You’ll see documents appear in their taxonomy categories as classification completes, without waiting for the full batch to finish.

Review Classifications
Open the Documents tab (or browse directly through the taxonomy tree in Sources) to see each classified document.Every document receives:
- Category — the taxonomy section it maps to (e.g. Financials → Audited Accounts)
- Confidence — a score from 0 to 1 indicating how certain Plomo is about the classification
- Evidence — a short excerpt from the document that supports the classification decision
- Review status — one of Accepted, Needs Review, or Uncategorized based on the confidence score

Query with Copilot
Click Copilot in the deal sidebar to open the AI assistant.Type any question about the deal in plain English — for example, “What were the last three years of EBITDA?” or “Are there any change-of-control clauses in the customer contracts?”. Copilot searches across all classified documents, constructs a grounded answer, and cites the specific documents and passages it used.
