Open the CIM Tab
To get started, open any deal from your dashboard and click the CIM tab in the deal navigation. The CIM workspace is scoped to that deal, so all drafts you create here draw only from that deal’s classified documents.Draft Your CIM
1
Open a deal and click the CIM tab
From your dashboard, open the deal you’re working on. Click the CIM tab in the top navigation of the deal workspace. You’ll see any existing drafts for this deal, or an empty state if this is your first CIM.
2
Start a new deck or select an existing draft
Click New Draft to start a fresh CIM, or select a previous draft to continue working on it. Drafts are saved automatically — you can maintain multiple versions of a CIM within the same deal.
3
Describe the sections you want — or ask for the full deck
In the prompt input, tell Plomo what you’d like to generate. You can ask for a complete deck in one go, or focus on specific sections. See the example prompts below to get started quickly.
4
Plomo generates slide-by-slide content grounded in deal documents
Plomo’s AI reads through the classified documents in your deal and produces structured slide content — including an executive summary, business overview, financial highlights, and any other sections you requested. Citations are drawn from the documents in your deal.
5
Review on the side-by-side canvas
The CIM workspace opens a side-by-side view: the generated deck on one side, and your source documents on the other. You can iterate slide-by-slide, regenerate individual sections, or edit content directly in the canvas. Use the prompt bar at any point to refine or extend the deck.
6
Export when ready
Once you’re satisfied with the draft, click Export to download the CIM. Choose your preferred format and Plomo will package the deck for sharing or further editing.
Example Prompts
Use the prompt bar in the CIM workspace to guide content generation. Here are some prompts that work well:- Generate the full CIM deck
- Draft the executive summary
- What slides should we include for a software company?
- Regenerate the financial highlights section
- Review the current draft for gaps
Managing Drafts
Decks are saved per deal — you can have multiple drafts in progress simultaneously. This is useful when preparing different versions of a CIM for different audiences, or when you want to experiment with alternate structures before committing to a final deck. Each draft is independent and can be renamed, duplicated, or deleted from the CIM tab.CIM content is generated exclusively from your deal documents — Plomo does not pull information from external sources, public databases, or the internet. Everything you see in the generated deck comes from the files you’ve uploaded to this deal.
